Typefaces

This Millennium High School font is written in a  bolded sans serif typeface. It is used as the heading of the student planner on all of the planners that everyone was given. This typeface is appropriate for its use because it is meant to be noticeable and pop right out, which is what it does.

This "December" in the student handbook is written in decorative text. It is big and bold and looks like someone sketched it in. This typeface is the typeface used for every month in the student planner. It is effective because although it is small, it still gets the job done and is aesthetically pleasing.

This is March in spanish and it is written next to the english writing of  each month. This is in script because each letter connects and it looks handwritten. This typeface is appropriate for its use because it is meant to be used as more of a subscript so it is small and simple but effective.

This "Jordan" name is the brand of a line of sneakers created by Michael Jordan. This is a more decorative typeface because it is designed to be simple. This is on the tongue of the shoe so it is meat to be slightly hidden but still there, therefore the typeface is appropriate here.

This is the watermark on a picture on my wall. It is written in script and although it is typed out, it looks like she write it herself. This is meant to be hidden enough that it doesn't mess up the image, but still noticeable so no one copywrites her pictures. This typeface is appropriate because it looks like a signature.

This typeface is for everyday of the week in the student planners. It is written in slab serif with very thin lines. It is meant to be noticeable to remind the student so of the day of the week, but it not supposed to draw the eye to that particular area. This typeface is perfectly appropriate for that.

  1. Nice finds. I like how you took pictures of different parts of the planner. Very sneaky Justin. I like that you found all 6 types. It was hard for me to find the script. Which is your favorite?
